RTL515 tether loop

I just got a RTL 515 and noticed it does not have a tether loop like my Edge device has. I really don't trust a $200 taillight to a rubber band to hold it on my bike.

Has anyone been able to modify their varia with a loop?

I used next to the rubber band tie-rips to secure the universal mount to the seat post.
Between the seat post and the rubber pad that supports the universal mount I applied double sided tape to reduce…
