Controls Widget

I'm curious what the Controls Widget does. It appears to be pre-installed by Garmin, but only seems to be a black screen. There does not appear to be anything in the documentation about this widget.

Looks like the widget became functional for me with the latest Garmin Connect update! :)

The Controls menu allows you to interact with certain functions during a ride. For example, you can use it to exit Battery Save Mode, Stop a course, and Stop a LiveTrack session.

I recently received my edge explore and I'm not seeing anything on the Controls widget. How can I get it to display information on that page?

E.g. Activate Battery Save Mode and you should see the option to cancel it in the controls widget. If not, nothing is shown.

Thanks! Ive had this blank widget screen for awhile and never found any way to use it, or delete it or find any answers via google. It was driving me crazy. Is there a resource for what other items can end up on that screen?
