Worth the upgrade?

Hello (First post on this section:-)), I have a Garmin edge explore and looking at the spec I am wondering if it is worth the upgrade to EE2?  I can see battery improvement but what other tangible improvements should make me switch?

Many thanks,

Michael.

  • I like the three profiles - it fits perfectly with my activities on the race bike, mountainbike and on the Tacx trainer indoor

Super for you it fits. Congratulations.
You are exactly the standard user "john garmin" that the developer imagined.
A user with a race bike, mountainbike and a inddor trainer.
No wonder that you have no criticisms. :)

  • You may have to read more slowly and concentrate more.

I can read slowly and concentrate enough to read both Garmin's guidance and DCR's review of the EE2 to understand what the device would be good and useful for, rather than buying the unit and then realising it won't do what you think it should.

This kind of inappropriate and provocative argumentaion does not help, rather the opposite.
Please read posts carefully. Thank you

Maybe you should follow your own advice, I was in fact trying to be helpful, whereas you have just been condescending.

  • Actually quite simple.
There is no "Cycling" activity profile on the device.
There are only fixed "Gravel", "Indoor" and "Road".
    This is not changeable!
I also think this is a strange decision.

Except for the faster route calculation and the better battery, the new device is also a disappointment for me.

  • I hope next firmware update will solve ma

this update 6.04 not good , sensors will not auto connect, I contact support and  they now dealing with it
