  • what is this "improved sensor connectivity"? is it helping connection/functionality to smart trainers?

  • Remote Control does not connect with 5.68 beta.

  • Yes, I have the same problem. LED of remote control blinks with high frequency, but it does not connect.
I have to remove it in the sensor menu and connect it again, then it is working.

  • Thanks, following your advice it works.

  • 2 ride no disconnect ! work perfect ! with 5.50 the di2 s1 was pop up all the time!!

  • Just went for ride using this new version, the unit crashed when diverting off course, screen froze with display still on, had to hold power button for 30 seconds or so for it to turn off, all buttons were unresponsive.

  • Just sent this email to the beta team:

Hello, installed the 5.68 beta (thanks for continuous development, much appreciated!) and have some remarks:

    • MTB map theme toggle (new function)
This works, but only when the unit is turned off and then on (meaning it is not working “on the fly”). But happy that we can now toggle the map theme without resorting to renaming the \Garmin\MapThemes\Mountain.kmtf file to disable the “washed out look” map theme.
    • Map visibility setting (under Profile/Navigation/Map/)
The High Contrast mode (as opposed to Auto or Manual) is often lost after changing maps or making other changes. It then needs to be changed to another mode and changed back again to re-enable it. It would be nice if this setting is more stable.

And to finish, I am very happy with the device, having used other Garmin GPS’s as well (Etrex Vista HCx, Edge 800/820/1030 and Fenix 6pro). Thanks for creating them and making my outdoor experience better!

  • Hi, can You share a FIT file with me (fw5.68 and power meter and outdoor ride) I would like to check an old known bug still there or not . Thx

Is there a trick to USB mount Edge 830 on iPad Pro running iOS 14? or anyone?

  • OK, two things:

    1. USB?  I'm not sure why you'd want to do that, but if you have a lightning to USB adapter then you should be able to mount the Edge just like any other USB mass storage device (e.g. thumb drive or whatever).  I don't think the Garmin Connect app would have any clue about it.  Here's a link discussing this, and you should surely be able to find more yourself.
    2. iOS/iPadOS 14 is still in beta.  So there's that.

What are you trying to accomplish?
