Keep on trying. Mine finally uploaded after many consecutive attempt. Try turning your phone and the device off and on. I did that. Don't know if it made any diference. But like I said, it finally went thru. The good news is, the my small craft warning weather alerts have not been interrupted.
Mine eventually uploaded as well, but only after connecting the Edge to wifi. Otherwise, trying to upload it via my phone resulted in Upload Failure message, and I could not sync it to GC.
Today's ride uploaded automatically within minutes of being saved. Not sure if it went via phone or wi-fi. Let's hope it's a transient thing that will not happen again.
After reading your message, I decided to check it on my device.I turned off Wi-Fi in 820, I only left BT connection with the smartphone. After a 50km ride, the activity was automatically sent to GC immediately after it ended in 820, without any problems. Apparently our 820 reacts differently to 12.40
Same problem here. Tried multiple times to upload the ride (that otherwise gets uploaded automatically after the ride) and never succeeded. Tried rebooting phone, computer, turning wifi off/on..... no luck
Today, my second ride. Uploaded immediately. That's the good news. The bad news is that at the beginning of the ride I had to turn the device on and off multiple times to get it to start calculating distance, elevation, time, calories, etc. Only thing it calculated was speed. And at start up, the device showed a gray arrow instead of green. I've never seen that before, Anybody know what that is?
I've seen the different coloured arrows from time to time but never in grey. It seemed to me they were route dependent but I couldn't see a pattern, perhaps related to the route generation software/app. I've been seeing this issue for quite a while so it's nothing to with the current software update. I raised this as a support issue too but haven't heard anything official about that either.
Mine wouldn't upload on Bluetooth or connect to WiFi however I turned off Bluetooth on the 820 and it instantly connected to my WiFi and uploaded today's ride.
