Language support pop-up

I'm getting frequent pop-ups on my 820 wiches notes that the 820 is supporting the language of my smartphone (=Galaxy S9). Happpens on start up, when the 820 switches from idle to active, and sometimes during a ride. Any thought about solving this? Phone and Edge are set to the same language (Dutch).

marcelweeda I wasn't able to reproduce the issue internally however I did discover that the language files are not updating properly through express which I will be reporting internally.

As a fix please…

marcelweeda Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I would like to have you try plugging your device into the computer and syncing it using Garmin Express, this will transfer any available language package updates to your device.

I did what you advised. Did not fix it. Even did a reset, also no fix. Can you help me?

marcelweeda I wasn't able to reproduce the issue internally however I did discover that the language files are not updating properly through express which I will be reporting internally.

As a fix please plug your Edge 820 into your computer, open File Explorer/Finder>locate the Garmin>open the folder titled "Garmin"> right click and delete the folder titles "Text"

Once you have done this you will need to eject the device and unplug it, allow it to power on fully to the ride screen. Then plug the device back into the computer and sync with express.

The end goal here is to delete the potentially corrupt or outdated language (text) files and reinstall the newest version.

I ran into this same issue. I have a Verizon Galaxy s9+ with Android 10. Garmin Connect app is updated. Garmin 530 Edge device.

Checked to make sure language files were updated. Looks like they were. So I removed the Text Files like was detailed below and resynced. We'll see if it fixes the issue.
