map update stuck on preparing device

I'm on a MAC and trying to install the latest map update. It has been stuck on preparing device for 8 hours. It said a few hours but this is well beyond that. What should I do to get this working? Many thanks for assistance.

Disconnect and start again I suspect ... check you have some spare space on your device. This FAQ may help https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?fa...urce=faqSearch

Also note the comment at the top, ensure Express is up to date.
