training plan

Dear, can anyone help me?

I have Garmin Edge 530, I am doing the training plan here for the garmin conect of mountain biking.

And I have some doubts about the heart rate setting that I should use as a reference.

The reference used for the training ZONES are in relation to HRmax (maximum heart rate) or FTHR (functional heart rate threshold) ???

and the other doubts

What percentage of zone divisions are used for these training plans?

Zone 1 =?% ~?%
Zone 2 =?% ~?%
Zone 3 =?% ~?%
Zone 4 =?% ~?%
Zone 5 =?% ~?%

  • If you log on to Garmin Connect online and access your 530's Device Settings from the top right of the webpage, you can select User Settings. This will allow you to view/edit your HR zones…

  • the 20-minute test is to find the FTHR, which is different from FCMáx

    about training zones, if you use FCMáx as a reference, the training zone is a certain value, and if you use a reference to FTHR, the training zone is another, so I asked if anyone knew which reference to use.

    but talking to a friend of mine who is a trainer, he said that the reference FTHR is hardly used for training.

    that is, probably those training zones on the training sheet here from garmin or using FCMáx as a reference.
