Wrong time

Hello, my new Edge 530 is not displaying the local time. I assumed it would be updated after syncing with Connect. But that didn't happen.

Any idea how to fix this?

Make sure the device is set to an outdoor profile (road or mtb), take it outside and let it get a GPS lock. This may take a while if it hasn't had one before. Once it knows where it is it will update…

If you install the beta release then it will pull the time from wither your WiFi or Phone connection. The current public release requires you to get a GPS fix.

Also check that you have the latest time…

Yes, remove any files already in that folder and then put the new one in there.

Still same, GPS version 0.00 and EP0: Missing,

I removed 006B310700.GCD but is there again after I turned device off and on again.

Try deleting the Device.fit and GarmDevice.xml files off the unit and then switching it off and back on again. This unit will recreate the files. Then sync.

Your best bet now is to contact Garmin Customer Services

I have sent it back to Garmin under warranty. They couldn't fix it and replaced it with a new one.

While the 530 is on hold the power button until the power off option is displayed. Turn off the unit then turn it back on. When it re-acquires satellite it should correct itself. It worked for me
