Is it possible to turn off the Edge connected/disconnected message on my phone

Every time I turn on or off my 530, a notification message appears on my 945 that the edge was connected/disconnected. On the 945, under phone, there is an "alert" setting that enables/disables this for the watch (for if the watch is connected/disconnected, not the 530). I can't find a similar setting on the 530.

It is super annoying. It gets really bad when charging since I charge mine in my shop where all my bike stuff is. Since my shop is just far enough away from my house to have marginal connection, I end up getting a connected/disconnected message every couple minutes as I walk around my house. I finally have to close the connect app on my phone to get it to stop.

Disable notification for connect app in phone setting if it's an Android.

you can turn it off while it's charging as well.

There does not seem to be a way to disable this without turning off all Garmin Connect notifications.. Hopefully they add this feature!

ekutter-dnu Did you find a solution to this, aside from killing all notifications from Connect? I just got a 530 and would like to disable the connected / disconnected alert. Thanks!

Nope, no solution if you want to have it paired to your phone.

In Android 10 you can be selective about the notifications. I turned off two of them

KevinJames Is that just through the general phone settings for Garmin Connect? Or is it through Garmin Connect itself? Seems iPhone doesn't have that flexibility, unless I'm missing something.

I had tried disabling the 'Device Connectivity', but that didn't seem to have an effect. I'll try the others tomorrow to see if there's one that does the trick.

ekutter-dnu This is the Android notification settings for the app, not within Garmin Connect itself.

This was really annoying me.
In the iOS app, under devices Forerunner 945 -> Sounds & Alerts -> Smart Notifications -> General Use -> Show
choose calls and texts only (rather than All). Whilst this is probably disabling other alerts on the forerunner from the app, it does stop the edge connected/disconnected message.
