Hi, Before i used a edge 1000 and i could change the elevation scale (x axis and y axis) by clicking on the axis and increasing or decreasing the scale. but whith my new edge 520, i don't found this feature.
PS: my edge version is 2.3
This is a big misfeature in the 520 vs the 510. Not being able to scale the display - both the elevation scale and the distance scale makes this useless.
Today in a ride (with a course loaded) the elevation scale was set at 40 feet and the horizontal axis at .4 miles. This was for a 62 mile ride with almost 7000 feet of elevation gain! Useless.
I don't care what the default is, but need scaling like the 510 has.
just adding my name to the list... obviously Garmin screwed up by not including verticsl scaling of elevation graphs... hopefully they will look back at the code they alredy wrote for the 510 and reuse it for the 520. garmin...comment???
It isn't just the elevation profile screen that has this issue.
Garmin didn't think through the UI on many of screens that had touch control on the 510. No way to pan the map page, no way to scroll the course point list, no way to scale the elevation page. Fail, fail, fail.
I think the 520 overall is a very nice device. Just wish they had thought through some of these UI issues before the release. I wasn't a big fan of the touch screen, just didn't want to lose functionality when they switched back to buttons.
definitely agree, its needed to to have option to change x,y-axis otherwise elevation graph is useless. I have this feature on my x years old garmin device and I am disappointed, that the newest device from garmin garage has this basic feature missing. Garmin Team, please add this to next firmware update + option to adjust alert ofvaria radar on edge device (for ex. make amber lanes wider, more visible and adjust tone volume) would be great, for start :-)
Has anyone already contacted Garmin on http://www8.garmin.com/contactUs/ideas/? It might add some more weight for this feature to be added if more customers asking for that.
