I forgot to update this a few weeks ago but following a Software upgrade on my new S23 it connects to my Edge 520. I had reset my edge and also updated it via PC to get latest updates so my best guess…

Had same issue, tried again today after reading this, and mine now also finally connected.
Turn off your smartphone and your device, and turn them back on again. Enable Bluetooth technology on your smartphone. Update the Garmin Connect app to the latest version. Remove your device from the Garmin Connect app and the Bluetooth settings on your smartphone to retry the pairing process.
I just did this and it worked ok. - i then connected to the 520 using the Garmin connect app and it works fine now
I tried, but it didn't work
After a few tries it worked
I have an Edge 510--have been using it since my Samsung S5, and yes, it's always been "clunky" but I've always been able to get the new Samsung talking to my Edge 510. Until NOW! I've tried EVERYTHING--forgetting, deleting, you name it. Have the latest 510 software and latest S23 updates....still no talk. They pair just fine--the problem, the 510 never shows "CONNECTED" and on the phone, same thing, it never shows the 2 are connected even though they can pair successfully. Not a happy camper.
