Garmin Rally - RS200 not pairing with Edge520 plus

Hi, I just installed my Garmin Rally - RS200 on my bike. I have a Garmin Edge 520 plus. When I try to pair the sensors from the powermeter I am unable to. I have been rotating the crank arm as Garmin trying to find the sensor. But it fails.

Any suggestions on how to make this pairing work?

When you wake up the power meter do the LEDs at the end of the spindles flash? Just want to eliminate the possibility of dead batteries. Also check that the doors are tightened down.

If you have Garmin Connect Mobile on your phone try seeing if that can find the pedals.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, the leds do light up. So batteries should be fine. When you says doors you are referring to battery doors, right? I am yet to try that. I just installed the pedal right out of the box with out touching battery door.

I do have Garmin connect app on the phone. Did not know I can search for pedals from there. Will try next.

Hi,

I ensured that the battery doors are tightly closed. Still no success. BTW, does Garmin Edge 520 Plus work with Garmin Rally - RS200? Do you need a higher model of bike computer?

Can you also please describe how to look for power meter from the Garmin connect app?

It should work as the pedals are using standard ANT+ messaging.

In Garmin Connect Mobile you should be able to go to Devices and then add a device. The pedals need to be awake.

Check you have the latest build. I'm assuming that Garmin has released an updated GCM build that added Rally. Let me find out.

What is the LED flash pattern that you see when you wake the pedals up and the color.

Same issue. 5.7 installed in the Edge520 plus.

I know this does not help you, but I was able to pair to an Edge 520+ without any problems.

What happens if you try to pair them with Garmin Connect Mobile?

I'm assuming that you are waking them up first before you try to pair them.

With a cup of coffee at hand, I doublechecked everything: One battery was incorrectly installed. XC 200 now paired with 520plus.
