New Edge 130 Public Beta 3.43 Now Available

A new Beta software for the Edge 130 has been released. Full change log, instructions, and software for installing the beta can be found here.

For any issues that you encounter please fill out the form included in the download and attach it to an email to [email protected]. Please note that you may not get a response to the email unless we need more information on the issue you report.

Although this software is believed to be reliable, it has not yet been released for production and should be used at your own risk.

CIQ Improvements
Fixed an issue where course names exceeding 16 characters could show invalid characters at the end of the name

When the edge 130 will cease to detect all surrounding sensors at each beginning of activity ?

It’s really annoying in group rides !!!

If i need to add a sensor, there is a menu for that !!!

Hi There,

I downloaded the zip file, extracted gupdate.GCD file to \Garmin folder on the device.

Unplug the device from computer, definetely nothing happened.

Then re-plug the device to PC, checked, the gupdate.GCD file was not there & also the firmware is not updated.

What to do? How to do? Any help please!

Please check if the file name is written with capital letters (should be GUPDATE.GCD, not gupdate.GCD)

same to me. I have a chinese device with firmware 3.20, and placing GUPDATE.GCD to /GARMIN does not result in updating. Moreover, I do agree with above commenter - asking to add new sensors is VERY ANNOYING when riding in a group!!!!! Please remove this. If I want to add a sensor - I'll go to menu.

Hey, GARMIN! I have bought the device on aliexpress, and now I realized that it can not be updated to latest software with european locale!!! What I did wrong??? Please remove that APAC lock, this is somewhat bad. If I buy an iPhone, it can be updated to any locale and to a latest firmware. REMOVE THAT LOCK!!!!! I will create an article on aliexpress for european buyers, warning them NOT TO BUY your devices there!

Garmin employees, please resend the link to this thread to egde130 product management or VP! It's a shame in 2k19 to have a regional-locked products, when people buy everything in the internet!!!!
