Battery Charge problem after installing version 27.14 Garmin Edge 1040 Solar

I installed the software version 27.14 and after that the battery is charging very low and he doesn't get 100%. I never have had this problem before. 

I have tried several solutions: clean the USB cable, adapt the settings for a lower battery use but nothing helps.

    You have to calibrate the zero offset of the pedals then or check first if they are correctly fastened. Wrong watt values are always a powermeter problem as long as the connection to the Edge doesn't drop out.

    I have the same problem.  It also now seem to use a lot more power when using it on a ride.  I never went down below 50 % now it was as low as 3 % and after connected to PC for almost 3 hours it is up to 37%.  Before after downloading the latest ride via Garmin Express and doing some 60 to 90 hours work on PC while 1040 still connected it was at 100%  Don't understand the pedals issue as I have not changed anything on them at all. Zero offset was at factory setting and I never touched that setting, so why would I need to do that now (don't know how to anyway). And yes they are correctly fastened.  - they automatically shut off after 5 minutes thus no longer connected to the 1040 Solar while 1040 is being charged.
