How to capture a video of the screen while in use (EDGE 1040)? (Sorry if this was asked before)

But wouldn´t it make sense,if it would be also available in the final fw versions so that the user is also able to take a video from an occuring issue?

If this is a hidden option can you tell me where it's hiding please so I can use it ? Many thanks

it's not really hidden, it's in that link provided earlier. just enable it and then a quick press of the power button captures a pic while a long press still turns the device on and off. screen shot i'm talking about. there's no way to video record from the device

ah ok , I already knew the screenshot trick. A couple of you tube reviewers seems to show the 1040 screen "live" during a ride so I'm wondering how on earth they are doing it

It was mentioned a few posts above. While in any profile data screen, tap on it. On the screen that shows, press the right hand arrow until the menu shows, about 3-5 seconds. Activate Screen Recording. Only available in Beta versions. Recording starts immediately.

to be clear, it's still only taking screenshots, but at faster intervals. up to you to stitch them all together into a video using external software and some time on your hands

That is correct. In my experience half a second per image renders a good looking video

Thanks guys that worked. Used Quicktime Player to stitch them and it was too fast so just need to figure how to allocate half a second per image 

The free version of Davinci Resolve makes it very easy.

but you have to convert the images to something else than BMP
