Edge 1040 not syncing training plan

Have a training plan working fine on an Edge 830.  Am used to moving activities around in the calendar on the GC web, but nothing will sync this to the Edge 1040, where every day is a rest day.  It still syncs fine to the Edge 830, but given that I rely on the training plan, the Edge 1040 is sort of useless at the moment.  (Am using Solar, but can't see that makes a difference.)

Any advice? Input?  (I have tried using GC express, the GC app on my iPhone, synced, resynced, etc.  Bizarrely, all the training programme activities did appear on the relevant days - briefly, once - and then they all disappeared.

PS: Have since tried deleting the existing training plan and creating a new one: the new one has partially gone across, but this week is missing 2 activities, whereas it has all gone fully across to the Edge 830.  That suggests it's not user error.  But if it doesn't all go across, this device is not much use! 

  • The devs are aware of a workout sync issue and have addressed it in the public beta.  In my experience, if it is this same issue, turning off the 1040 and powering it back on makes the workout appear.   JFYI

  • I joined the public beta via the link in Garmin Connect (browser version) and, as eallison978 says, the issue appears to be resolved.

    Note that I am using wifi sync only. Not game enough yet to turn on bluetooth sync with my phone. 

  • Did a reset, and then synced: no workouts on E1040.

    (have a Germin Trainingsplan since December, did not change it after reseting the E1040.)

  • I can not believe that such expensive device is so crappy. Garmin? 

  • The problem is still existing even after last update 16.11 and in addition I have only one month synchronized in my Calendar whereas I did my training plan up to end of May in Garmin Connect. To synchornized the calendar I had just to change a name of a workout to get the synchronisation working with my edge 1040.
    Hope Garmin will correct it quickly now ...
