Sensor Disconnect

I recently got a Scosche Rhythm optical HR band and paired it with my Edge 1030 as an ANT+ device. I noticed that my HR would drop out for 3-5 seconds at a time every minute so I contacted Scosche and they suggested pairing it as a Bluetooth device instead. After I did that, I now have dropouts of all 3 devices connected: first I get a notification that my radar disconnected, then the Edge finds my power meter, and then HR reconnects. The power meter and radar are both connected as ANT+. The fact that all 3 are disconnecting makes me think this is an Edge issue and not a Scosche issue. Anyone have any insight into what is going on or what else I could do to stop the disconnects? Thanks!

It's the latest update 13.75. Everyone is having issues. My radar, hrm, cadence, phone were all having dropouts. Garmin has released a beta 13.79 but hasn't put out a fix for everyone yet. Almost like planned obsolescence. Maybe they intended to kill the 1030 by making it not connect to sensors.

Have you tried the 13.79 beta? Does it address connectivity for you?

I installed it but haven't gotten a chance as I separated my shoulder in a gravel bike accident. Back on the trainer as of two days ago, so I may run the 1030 with the trainer while also running Zwift or Fulgaz and see if it keeps those. Unfortunately, I won't be able to get back on the road for several more weeks.

Used it tonight with the trainer for power, speed, and cadence and a hrm. No dropouts but after the ride I had issues with it connecting to my phone. I had to turn off bluetooth on the phone and 1030 and renable to get it to connect. Since these are the sensors I was having issues with on the road and a controlled environment, I need more info to definitively say the beta 13.79 works.

Last night I road indoors again with other sensors connected and had no dropouts or other issues with the 13.79 beta update.
