Control widget. Font size on map, color scheme of the map. Help me to solve it !

Hi to all. Few days ago bought a brand new edge 1030 plus (ver. 6.10). After edge 1000 got some confusing and disappointing.

01.

Can't delete this annoying Control widget. Connect to PC, from Garmin Express delete it , after restart the edge it appears again, like i do nothing .. From mobile version same ***. From Edge - System - Widget management this option is unavailable.

02. About font size

Problems persists in edge 1000 too, so:

There is no a group of fonts with only name of the city,villages. There is streets, land cover, user locations, map points.

By default on both model this group is setup with "Small" size.

I turn off all other groups and do small size for streets , to be able to be a little easier to read.

any ideas or solution to increase name of the city?

03. About map colors

Why map a so grayscale? Like it is de-saturated from 100 to 20 %? On ede1000 there is beautiful vivid color, easy to read and see , on 1030 plus have an impression that it is a grayscale device?

can be rearranged, but it is totally unuseful for me so no sens to rearrange.

think garmin express has a bug, on photo i delete widget, after disconect the edge, it apear again.

I searched the point of the Car Service Station KELM using Garmin Cyclemap 2021.20 and I did not manage to get the label "Kelm" as big as you showed on the screen...

Map Visibility (Kartensichtbarkeit:) automatic.

(btw: Kelm Station was not marked on previous Garmin map 2020.10!)

Concerning widget:
I don't think that it is useful (and apparently possible) to delete the Controls widget, because it includes the mainpage too (Profile, Setup, Sensors, display light, phone...)

how to increase font size on your first photo ? Word "Harsewinkel" to be bigger? this is the general question about font size

I did nothing!
"Harsewinkel" on the first picture is the same size as on picture #2.

It's all a question of zoom level.
At some zoom level the street names appear - and strange - they are bigger as the village name.

Fontsizes and fontsize options are declared in the map's TYP file - which is not available for Garmin cyclemaps - I'm afraid.

on first pic is 500m scale and it's fine without streets name, but want bigger village name font size. it's possible? during riding it is not big enough for me.

You can try Profile - Navigation - Map Visibility (Kartensichtbarkeit) - User defined
then play around with the options.

It's possible to define all these things with OSM maps by editing the TYP file.
Here's an example of "Big City" for OpenMTBmap:

I'm using MapTK for editing OpenMTBmaps - they deliver TYP files when installing a map.

I never edited another map or created a TYP file - so, I'm not a Pro in that fields...
(I'm lucky enough, I managed to edit OpenMTBmaps for me...)

don't see any file with "typ" extention in root folder.
