New Edge 1030 Public Beta 13.20 Now Available

A new Beta software for the Edge 1030 and Edge 1030 Bontrager has been released. Full change log, instructions, and software for installing the beta can be found in the link below.

Notes:

  • Although this software is believed to be reliable, it has not yet been released for production and should be used at your own risk.

Changes made from version 13.10 to 13.20:

  • Fixed issue causing VO2 max to not be calculated and performance condition from working.

    I uploaded the update, yet nothing changes ,

    should I need to upload new practices for about a week to start see any results?

    13.20 works!  (…for me…)

    -popup after 6 minutes showing start value of perfomance condition on Edge
    -performance condition graph in Garmin Connect (after upload)
    -update of VO2max and trainings status in GC.

    (I‘m usually riding with Edge 1030 PLUS - so, many data coming from that device…)

    Yes, performance condition is back.


    Is there any way to accept the help of the community in the SW development? Not only the currently sold computers but some old devices or SWs such as Virb 360 camera or the virb edit sw which is free anyway and also have many bugs (such as it can merge the 2 cams  mp4 file only if the source files are on the VIrb's SD card. Once I copy them to a HDD that is no longer able to merge it (no option for that)

    As far as the past ~10 cycling computer updates concerned  many times an already well established feature suddenly stops working (radar conncetion, performance condition, vo2, HW slow down - just a few problems from the past 1-1.5 year)

    Maybe the community could help in the development.

    Hi  - I guess this only works on activities recording AFTER the update....?

    Not on old activities where VO2 max was never calculated?

    Uploaden the file. No recalculation. Missen VO2MAX since december 5th. Trained with vector 3, and hf as usual. Strange...
