I'm interested to see how other people have setup and use their devices. Maybe someone is doing something better than me, or there might be better apps or sensors out there?
I currently use the Edge2 data field pretty much exclusively and don't really change screens much. I have changed some of the displayed fields to show HR, cadence and Ascent/Decent but pretty standard otherwise.
I have the Garmin speed and cadence sensors also, plus I use a HRM-Pro strap.
I have installed Komoot for custom routing and pre-planning but haven't used it yet.
I bought the 1030 primarily for the routing and mapping because I like longer rides on new routes but my phone wasn't going the distance. The 1030 is also loads better then using my watch.
