Garmin Edge 1030 - alternative charging method?

I have a rather unusual question about charging Garmin 1030. I have a damaged USB port, so I can't charge the device. But Gamrin has the option of connecting an external "power bank", does anyone know which pins in Garmin are used for charging via the power bank? I mean, can I try to charge the device using the pins on the back of the device?

Thank you very much for the answer, it took a while but we managed to modify the stand to be a charger :)

Przemek_Michalczyk I would advise you to reach out to your local support team directly at support.garmin.com to see what replacement options we can work out with you. Even if you found a workaround, I would like to see you have a 1030 with a functioning charging port.

Hi, I have the same issue, but have not been able to change the 1030.

i disassembled a vivoactive charge cable connected the positive and negative pogo pins to the 2am and 8pm connections. This was able to get a tiny bit of charge into the 1030, but it is now stuck on the Garmin start up screen. Did you have the same issue?

I still use that charge, it seems slow but charging to 100%. I did not notice any other problems.

Hi, thanks for the update, great that it still works.

Any after some button pressing, mine is now working, showing 85% charged, though it was plugged in all night to a 10w charger.

Now that it works, will spend some time to make the charger neater and less vulnerable with the push down and latch insert. Will be much easier than replacing the usb port.
just wish Garmin or someone produced one, the small charging pucks for the watches are 2 for 10 euros, and Garmin say that the voltage controling is done by their devices, so that should not be an issue.
