Hi, was edge 1030 frozen after version 10.20 on the rides history screen...
For Edge freezing run a disk integrity check. On a mac that's with the FirstAid command of Disk Utility. With Windows, somme command line you will need to search for. But the Edge has a very weak file management system and if the integrity of FAT is lost you can weird crashed and the like. In the pas I had good success stabilizing a device using Disk Utility.
File integrity is an issue, for sure....and running a CKDSK on the device in Windows resolved my hanging at "Loading maps..." screen when I went from 9.x to 9.5.
In moving from 9.5 to 10.2, the 1030 just hung at the Garmin screen with the 3 dots. Tried multiple reboots thinking the upgrade had bricked the device, Having got it to connect to my PC, it was simply a TMP file in the \Newfiles directory. Deleted that, and it has booted fine several times perfectly now, and after 2 rides, I have seen no issues with 10.2
Thank you for a help, you are perhaps right, because it froze after start up with searching for wifi on main screen ( and bluetooth is always on). Its just little weird that I did not observe that in a first week after 10.20 update, but it might be because I was riding outdoor, so when I switched Edge on, I might be out of wifi signal already. And I wanted to ride indoor this week so in a reach of wifi and bluetooth signal.
I will not have chance to try it out, because I already downgraded firmware to 9.10. Its third and last time I did downgrade.
firstly 9.50 issue with Varia Radar (https://forums.garmin.com/sports-fitness/cycling/f/edge-1030/229090/firmware-9-50-varia-radar/1085658#1085658)
10:00 total ascent too high + some navigation prompts with no sound (device restart helped for a while)
10.20 freezing issue
I dont understand why Garmin doest make sure that firmware works properly. I would accept that some problem can occur, but it looks that every new firmware is very buggy.
