Can not get Edge 1030 to sync with Pinarello Dyodo battery

I have a Pinarello Dyodo eBike with a Mahle eBikemotion motor and battery. The Edge syncs nicely with the Garmin Cadence and Speed sensors but does not seem to be able to sync woth the Pinarello battery. The eBikemotion app on my phone syncs with the bike/battery nicely through Bluetooth. Is there something I am doing wrong?

blamkin It does not appear that the Garmin Edge is supported by ebikemotion, the maker of the dyodo system for Pinarello. This is something that I would encourage you to contact the manufacturer on for clarification. From what I can see in the research that I have done there is no mention of compatibility with Edge devices on the Pinarello site or the ebikemotion site. In fact it appears that ebikemotion actually makes there own GPS trackers and other computer hardware to compliment the system.

I just looked on the Mahle ebikemotion website and found this in one of the FAQ's -

Is the x35 compatible with Garmin or any other ciclocomputer?

Our X35 system is compatible only with devices with Bluetooth 4.0 or higher. However, there are some devices using specific Bluetooth protocols such as Ant+, Smart…. but we do not have connectivity with these specific protocols yet.

Then try with BT instead of ANT+ see if that gets you sowhere. The Edge has some BT sensor capabilities but limited as well.

I do not see an option on the Edge to sync with BT - all I see is Sensors -->> eBike, which is the one I have been trying

Hey, I've the same bike and faced the same problem. So actually out of box bike doesn't support ANT+ LEV profile which is expected by Garmin for eBikes. When I was looking for solution, I've found this one https://www.orbea.com/us-en/gear/spare-parts/cat/ebikemotion-iwoc-trio-ant- , I've bought it and installed and now it connects with Garmin. I was looking anyway for remote that can be near handlebars, as I don't like original iWoc one button, as you distracted from handlebars to use it. But now I've also found such thing https://www.wilier.com/en/products/int/accessories/ant-conversion-kit-mahle-x35-ebikemotion-system this will also work as all this bikes are based on eBikemotion system and it may be more elegant as if you don't need handlebar remote, you then will hide this in frame tube

eBikeMotion has never released their promised "LCD" computer; Garmin now has an "Ebike Controller" unit that links with the x35 "iWoc" & allows better visual gear-selection. Go for it...

Let me clarify. By default bike won't have connectivity with Garmin, so you will need to get this https://www.orbea.com/us-en/gear/spare-parts/cat/ebikemotion-iwoc-trio-ant- or this https://www.wilier.com/en/products/int/accessories/ant-conversion-kit-mahle-x35-ebikemotion-system. Orbea includes remote for the handlebar, so you don't need to buy any additional garmin remotes. If you go with Willier, then you need remote, but then it doesn't makes sense, because you can just get Orbea with remote already.
