Reply to text messages - customized standard answers?

I don’t remember where I saw it, but I believe it can be done on android, the way I remember explained was, iOS privacy/permissions not allowing connected devices to send messages through iOS phone/tablet. 

As far as I have understood this it's only possible to edit the "non English" language files in order to customize this. Can't remember from the top of my head what file to edit but in that file you have to edit the text strings in 2 different locations for each reply.

As im German, that will be fine ;-)

Has anyone tried to create a translation file for English to English to try to trick the system into using it ? Depending how things are coded this may work, or not. 

It would be great to have an IQ application to configure those messages as diferent values in a list...

I have a Iphone so I can't use this reply function but I'm wondering how do you use it. A message comes up on the 1030 and while you are on the bike do you select a response to send? Seems dangerous to me and with the cell phone so close, I would stop and respond using the phone. But, I'm an old guy and not as coordinated as I used to be.

This is only supported over Android. The iPhone operating system does not allow.

For English speakers, there is a trick you could try. 

1) Select a language file; german for instance. 

2) make a backup of that file.

3) edit every phrase to it's english equivalent, making any changes you want.

4) set the language of your device to german.

This would be very tedious for us English speakers, but I believe it will work.. I'm going to try this when I get a chance.
