Does anyone know where the base configuration file is being pulled from? Can the this be edited to change the pre-defined response or does the unit map out responses and just send the url or line location to show the corresponding text?
Sorry if I misunderstand, are you talking about something else, like emergency notifications? I haven't found anything regarding that, tho I've heard it pulls a google map link. It doesn't seem to be covered in the manual, but I haven't gotten around to trying it yet due to all the responses about rough trails and roads triggering it.
The response-texts are stored in the language-files - directory Garmin/Text. Since there is no file for English language, you only can edit all other languages. Be careful - it's a littlebit difficult to edit the file. Each predefined answer is to be searched and replaced twice!
