1030 Uploading Issues

When I finish a ride I stop the Garmin and save the ride. Once in a while I see that it is Uploading the ride. This is very inconsistent. If i force an Upload. I get the message that the upload fails. If I am luck enough that it does upload, I can see it in Garmin Connect on my Android.

I have not been able to get my Garmin to connect to my Windows PC by WiFi. I have to use the cable and Garmin Express to get my ride into Connect.garmin.com.

If I understand the function, I should be able to save the ride. The ride should upload automatically to my Android, show up in Garmin Connect and also upload to Connect.Garmin.com.

    I have the same problem. I gave up using BT to upload my rides automatically. Garmin and BT is not a happy marriage. Now I use wifi. It is consistent and much faster. Connect your Garmin to your home WIFI network and select auto upload.

    That is the way mine is setup BUT it does not Auto Upload with WiFi.

    I also turned of my phone in the connected functions. After that uploading with wifi works as a charme.
    Garmin should:
    - fire some software engineers,
    - give the engineers a bike and let them test there software themselves first,
    - make the basic functions reliable first and after that consider adding imo stupid functions as LiveTrack, group track, sms notifications, missing phone call notifications and all the other BT.

    Agree. Struggling getting Bluetooth syncing working so badly. This should be the most basic function to have be solid. It’s been broke for months for my Edge 1030

    I'm having the same issues with uploading on my Edge 1000 along with other people, I have reported it to Garmin Support (Reference ID: 11808815K0) on 4th June and I'm still waiting for a fix, I normally wait about 2 weeks between emails from Garmin Support to try other options but none of them have fully solved the issue.

    Ever since I updated firmware to 5.0 and attempted to use Live Tracking (which of course is broken and doesn't work either) automatically uploading ride at completion generally no longer works... I have never experienced a product or software this buggy... Once I got it to work again by disconnecting BT and start all over with setting up the BT link, but who in their right mind wants to do that regularly?
