Do you use auto sleep function between training sessions or do you power your device off? I am wondering if anybody tried to test battery drain with auto-sleep function. I have Edge 520 too and there is function auto power off, which I always used, but this is replaced by auto sleep function on Edge 1030, so I am interested to know if Garmin managed to get consumption in auto sleep so low, that it might not need to power unit off when train every day or two (only wifi stays on during the sleep).
did a few tests and battery consumption in sleep mode with wifi on is about 1-2% in 24 hous, so its very low. So I let 1030 come to sleep without need to shut it down. Unfortunately after last update 4.0 I had to switch that to sleep manualy, because it did not do that automatically.
