Late sharp bend alert

First outside ride today with the Edge1030. All good with the exception of the sharp bend alerts, which were new to me afer not having this on my 1000. I would say 50% of the alerts were delivered whilst either in the bend or on some occasions immediately after it.
I like the feature and don’t want to disable it, however I would say that receiving a notification mid bend at speed has the potential to cause distraction when least needed.
Running firmware v 3.90

Did you notice if the GPS track on the screen was keeping up with reality? On my 1030, the GPS track as indicated by the small black triangle is quite often 20-30m behind where I actually am. I'm running the same version of F/W. So if the unit is relying on that to give the warning, then it's quite likely to give the warning late.

That sharp turn notification was one of the first things I disabled on my 1030 after I purchased it.

I didn’t notice the GPS position as I was mainly on a data screen rather than the map, will have to look at that. Should have had excellent GPS reception though as it is all open countryside and no leaves on the trees here yet that might affect accuracy.
