Just got a new Edge 1030. Should Strava segments pop up automatically when out riding? This doesn't seem to happen. My Strava and Connect accounts are linked. Ride data transfers OK to Strava when I finish. I've starred few local Strava segments on my Connect dashboard but nothing pops up on my device when out riding. Do I need to do anything else to get this to work?
I don't have a Strava Premium account. Do I need this to get it to work? A friend of mine has an Edge 520 and he gets the Strava segment pop-ups with no Premium subscription. Do you have details of how to enable segments under the activity profile. I thought I'd tried everything but can't remember seeing this.
Firstly check that they have been loaded on to the Edge. You will need to have synced the Edge with Garmin Connect either using Garmin Express or Garmin Connect Mobile.
From the home page select "Training" then "Strava Live Segments". You should see them listed.
Next if they are on the unit select the hamburger icon (bottom left) on the home page, then activity profiles, then your profile and check that "Segments" have been enabled.
