I did not modify the "canned texts", but I sucsessfully have changed some other menu-texts for the German language. So, it is possible to edit the files. SMS answers still are possible on Android only!
The SMS-texts are stored in the language-files - directory Garmin/Text. Since there is no file for English (it's "built-in"), you only can edit all other languages. Be careful - it's a little bit difficult to edit the file. Use a very simple text-editor! The look is quite confusing, but don't use an editor that inserts line feeds. Each predefined answer is to be searched by its text or the key-word "canned". Every canned text has to be searched and replaced twice! TXT_CANNED_MESSAGE_List TXT_CANNED_MESSAGE_Prompt (Of course you may not change the name of the tag but only the text content.)
Make a copy of your language.gtt before editing it!
