How to get my ordinance survey map transferred from my sd card from my garmin 1030 to my garmin 1030 plus which does not have a sd card slot

The people making the map are choosing to lock it to the device.

Maps don't have to be locked to the device (none of many free OSM maps are not locked).

Blaming Gamin for something the OS map makers chose to do is stupid.

Well Garmin sell these maps so it is Garmin locking them but they will be doing that at as part of the deal with the Ordnance Survey to sell OS maps.

Garmin locks the maps it sells. And has for many years.

As far as I understood, Garmin wasn’t selling the OS maps. That they were being sold by the OS organization.
