Edge 1000 replacement battery from NewPower99

Does anyone have any experience with this replacement battery from NewPower99? My battery seems to be losing charge more quickly recently than even a month ago. I really do like the 1000 and $30 is worth it if it extends the life of the unit (rather than the large outlay for a new Garmin of either 8xx or 1xxx series. My experience with an Edge 705:

The OEM battery lasted for 7 years. I bought a 3rd-party replacement. It lasted *one* year. Then I bought another 3rd-party replacement. It also lasted *one* year. I bought one of them from Newpower99, and the other from an eBay seller. The batteries were identical, with the same mfgr label.

Edge 1000 Replacement Battery:

I have an Edge 1000, it sheared off the handle bar mount a couple of weeks ago, breaking off the plastic locator lugs on the case, I managed to source a new back from China. My battery is starting to fade, so I though whilst I had it apart I would replace the battery, ordered a CELLONIC replacement via Amazon.

The Edge would not power up, when USB was connected it was showing 100% charge soon as cable as you unplugged the cable the device dies, tried leaving it charging for several hours, and it made no difference. Returning it to Amazon, can anyone recommend a good replacement battery, surely one must be available. Cheers Simon.

Hi Bikepc01

Thanks for your reply, I did try to order the same battery from Subtel but my order was rescinded the day after I placed it, which I queried, they explained they could not ship to the UK because of recent COVID restrictions, it appears they are based in Germany. I then ordered the same battery via Amazon and from what I can tell it actually came from Subtel! There is a chance mine was just faulted as the reviews of Cellonic seemed to be good.

Not sure whether just to try again, I have put the old battery back in for now as it still works just starting to lose its capacity. The connection was identical on the Cellonic compared to the original.
