You probably have pulse ox on. It drains battery. Better to turn it off. It's not usefull for normal situations anyway.

Watch using ANT+ doesn`t establish connection (in simple terms) with accesories, it listens signals from devices. "adding" device to watch is just configuring watch to do not ignore broadcasted data from certain ID.
