I did a test with my Oregon 450 this morning.
- I created a Custom Symbol in Paint
- I put in in the My Garmin / Custom Waypoints Symbol on my HDD as 008.bmp (I realized, that I have a German and English folder here, but for me the German one worked)

Die Frage stellt sich doch gar nicht da aktuelle Karten nur in unicode kommen.

Hast Du dagegen ältere Karten kannst Du die selbstverständlich auch mit 4.20 nutzen.

Ja das sehe ich auch so das es zu gebrauchen ist - auch beim Biken im Wald.

Allerdings ist der Kontrast wirklich schlecht und die Farben sollten verändert werden.
Vorallem wäre eine dynamische Anpassung an die Streckenlänge sinnvoll.

305 daily hard reset

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Each time I use my Forerunner I must do a hard reset and there is a long pause before it starts up. When I charge it I must also hit the hard reset buttons or it will not charge.

I hate to further dampen your experience, but BaseCamp will not read maps that are created and sent by you to the device. You will need to use Map Converter on the PC to convert the maps to Mac format and then move them to your Mac. See the numerous threads…

I think the answer is in another post you wrote. You say there that you highlight the route in My Collection and choose Send to Device. That is not the way to do it.

Instead, create a new "list" consisting of just the route you want to send and highlight…
