yes, it looks like my watch was not completely updated over wifi. I plugged it in with Garmin Express and had some extra updates, now watchface is there.

You’re right! Checked light firmware with the Edge and it is 2.40. Garmin Express with light not working anymore for firmware
I was able to get mine to work too. I just toggled HR broadcast on and off. And had my edge 530 search for a hr monitor specifically.
