Since version v20.xx the distance measurement has become inaccurate, it is an old issue. I have already written a lot about it in the following forum topic.

October 26th and my thoughts on how things have gone and whether I hit my goal. I ended up setting up the Garmin Suggested Workouts to break my 2022 running season into 2.
I probably figured out what could be causing the error, I can eliminate it and reproduce it.
As gaterobs wrote, Garmin uses not only GPS data, but also accelerometer data when calculating the distance.
