How come APAC models does not have the ability to install this beta update?

You wouldn't think so, but there are some who received APAC versions through Amazon. 

Perhaps he's using the APAC model, which was updated to 7.90 about a week ago.

APAC firmware 5.0 but GPS 4.60 here. No issue locking GPS under the clear sky.

For RoW version, that's correct. APAC version, not dealt at this forum, has different versions.
