Not showing Training readiness is it really a hardware issue?

Why does the Marq Aviator (gen 1) not show training readiness? People say it is because Garmin wants us to buy the next gen. But Gen 1 tracks: sleep, recovery time, hrv status, acute load, sleep history and stress. And on the official Garmin pictures you can see that training readiness is a subset of these values. So there seems to be no hardware reason not to show this information. Or can can anyone give a sound explanation? I feel Garmin laughs us in the face here.

    Training Readiness is a newer generation only feature due to the differences in the version of the Training algorithm software between generations. It should be noted, the MARQ series goes back to 2017 with the Fenix 5 series but has the Fenix 6 series (Q3 2019) software.

    There are always minor differences in the FirstBeat training algorithm being used since they have different versions that are built on that do not go backwards.

    Thanks Chris for making it perfectly clear that this is purely a software issue. And hence confirming the fact that Garmin could, by a minor release, make Training Readiness available for all Garmin Marq gen 1 customers- if Garmin wanted to keep and satisfy customers who through their purchase of the worlds most expensive smartwatch enabled Garmins venture into this market. 

    Moderator: This statement is not accurate. There are different generations of FirstBeat software for the training algorithm between the generations. Not all new training features found in a newer generation watch will be added to a prior  generation.
