Marq - 9.98 Beta Release

Hello MARQ customers,

We have new software available for your upcoming adventures!

The beta below is not compatible with MARQ Aviator.

9.98 Change Log Notes:

Improved search response time when performing an Around Me or POI search.
Made improvements for Surf.
Fixed an issue where the golf scorecard information got corrupted in recent beta sw.
Fixed an issue where the "Broadcast during activity" setting was not working correctly for Bluetooth sensors.

Current beta peripheral software version numbers below. New versions are indicated in red.

GPS: 4.40
Sensor Hub: 7.11
ANT/BLE/BT: 5.04
Wi-Fi: 2.60

Please note, the beta updates released on these forums are not suitable for APAC region devices.

Be careful with this beta if you are using custom maps - you (again) end up in 'loading maps forever' !!

To avoid this delete (or move into another folder of the watch - I used 'custom maps' which is normally empty) all custom maps - reboot and put on and run the update.

Reboot and copy the custom maps back to the main Garmin folder and all is fine again.

But only after the initial restart after installing the update. After that it’s fine...at least that’s my experience.

Mine was on any (!) disconnectinon from the computer and any reboot.

Rebooting once without custom maps did help.

No Lock with time synch, red circle in time synch not ending, even after a successful GPS fix and map reading under activity and a full restart.
Reported to beta team.

Yes I had to do anyway because of the 'loading maps' problem ...

It looks like to have some inconsistencies.

Early in the morning, watch have a successful time synch and fails after another one a few seconds later.

Some Beta Team users were able to reproduce this bug, while some other not. Hence the inconsistencies i've reported.

FYI, a bug report for this was opened, by beta team.
