This afternoon the battery of my instinct suddenly started draining very fast (from 3 bars to zero within an hour).
I didn't think much of it and charged the battery for about 3hrs. When I unplugged it, it gave the low battery notification, but still three bars. As I was loading the running activity, the battery went down to 2 and 1 bar and then went dead within a couple of minutes. I tried to recharge again for half an hour with a different charger, but got the same problem. As long as the charger is plugged in, everything seems to function normally, when I unplug, the battery dies within minutes.
I have tried:
- Different charger (not different cable, as I only have one)
- Soft reset
- Hard reset
To me it looks like a battery failure, but I was hoping someone might know a (temporary) solution to this as I'm not in the area of my Garmin dealer for the moment.
Please note that this is not the same issue as in https://forums.garmin.com/outdoor-recreation/outdoor-recreation/f/instinct/220324/garmin-instinct-battery-drain-issue (my battery drains within minutes).
