Google Maps integration for navigation

I'm currently saving up for an Instinct as it checks almost all the boxes for how I used my old Pebble (that died :( ). One of the things I liked using it for was Turn-by-turn navigation while driving. I remember my pebble could read the directions in the notification and format them to display info on the watch, with vibrations at .2mi and 200ft away from the next step. Can we please get this kind of functionality on the Instinct? it'll then do everything I did on my pebble, plus be water proof! Apparently it was a feature in older firmware, but that's since gone away. Garmin, please!

Instinct does have the Turn-by-turn navigation. You just need to create the Course with Garmin Connect. Some 3rd party apps may work too (for example courses from plotaroute.com are known to work for the turn-by-turn navigation).

Using an app such as OsmAnd+ that sends notifications to the phone, and thereby the watch, you can get turn by turn directions on the watch. But you might as well just use the phone (you need to have our with you anyway).

Frustratingly, I've just tested this and OsmAnd+ isn't sending the notifications to my phone any more. ️

Just create the course with Garmin Connect, or with Plotaroute.com or with a similar service, and you'll have your turn-by-turn navigation
