Instinct Invert Display & Custom Alarm Labels

Hi guys, I've managed to customize my Instinct a little bit.

First thing, negative or inverted display for the whole watch.

To change color, you have to go to Config- About - Press Light Button Several times - Invert Display

What do you think?

PS: One caveat is that when inverted the torch gets the screen all black

When I invert my watch, after a few weeks it reverts back to the regular display. Is anyone having that issue as well?

For me it happened every time I updated it, which I do manually (without Garmin Express).
Which is a bummer, but less than the fact that this feature is "hidden" for some obscure reason.

Technically it should give more stamina to the battery as well as looking better (subjective obv.), so I don't know why this isn't a regular option that you could toggle.

Also, I'd be curious to know where/how the OP found that thing, I don't recall seeing this anywhere in the online manual, but then my memory is very bad so it could be there.

The device uses a transflective MIP (memory-in-pixel) display type - it is a passive type of display (not emitting any light) where the state of individual pixels (black or white) has no influence on the consumption. The pixels consume power practically only when swapping the state, not when static (regardless of the color). Hence a completely white display will consume as little power as a completely black one.
