Garmin explore - maps question

I’m currently using instinct solar and the only maps you can download with it are topoactive maps which are pretty basic.

Do you have an ability to download topographic maps(the free maps which come with Fenix 7) to the app if you purchase fenix 7?

    The Instinct series for both generations do not support mapping of any type on the watch itself. The Explore APP is the way to go since you can download multiple map types for the region you live in to your phone's memory. When your watch is Bluetooth connected and you open the Explore APP, you will see your position on the map and you can easily and quickly change between map types and layers.

    If you buy a Fenix 7 series watch, you will be able to download the TopoActive maps available around the world as you need them. It will not impact the Explore APP since the Explore APP has 3-4 different map types depending on where you live in the world and you can always download and use the Explore APP to see your position on a map using any of our Outdoor watches.

    I even occasionally use the Explore APP when I am wearing my Fenix 7X watch since I can see a larger view of the area on a much larger screen along with my position on the map.
