Constantly high stress levels / low battery level every day

Does anyone else constantly see high stress levels throughout the day even though you feel pretty relaxed and done just gentle walking exercise (recorded as an activity)? I have this almost every day.

Body battery drains to empty from 100% and then never recovers even with plenty of sleep.

I have tried factory resetting the watch and it's up-to-date.

  • Yes, me. And it's stressing me out even more. It's in the medium and high range when I'm asleep. It's high most of my waking hours. My heart rate is good...just stress is high. I've had this watch for 4 days. Body battery is low every single day which also stresses me out. I have only worked out one time since putting it on because it says I need to rest. So I just sit there and rest all day and it never goes up.

  • Hi Chris,

Thank you,  I have read those articles from my research before. My HR sensor appears to work perfect - in fact it's the main reason I have this watch after using the Samsung GW4 and experiencing the extremely poor HR sensor.

I am wondering if it's because people naturally have a different HRV (heart rate variability) and this is not taken into account or something? As I type this my stress level is 73 but I feel very relaxed! Usually it's higher however.

I can safely say I am not experiencing from any of the above, nor have I have this month. Maybe a bit of stress at work sometimes but not massively really... at least that's how I feel.

I've read that it's very accurate online, reading that it can detect even a few beers, I do not drink very often and if I have I ignore that day and the following one's stress/body battery.

    Strange :(

  • Thanks for your reply. I have read that this body battery does learn for the first couple of weeks or so. So yours may improve hopefully.

I wouldn't let it stop you doing any exercise, in fact some of the best jogging I've done has been on a body battery of 5 (lowest) and I felt perfect before, during and after. It sadly just seems rubbish.

  • Thanks. I did end up doing some stretching and biking today because I couldn't stand just sitting around anymore. Biking felt great. I'm tired and that's normal. Just hoping to get on track and not worry too much about the numbers.

  • Let me know please how you get on with time with your watch. At the end of the day I guess are watches are only guides, even if they do cost a fair bit. It seems you can't even turn off the body battery function to save some battery! I'd rather do that I think personally as it doesn't work well enough for me.

I just dismiss my readings.  Buying a house 2,500 miles away, trying to sell my current house, daughter-in-law was just visiting and tested positive for Covid, my boss is an a**hole and we're being forced mandatory overtime.  All this during the holidays. I'm walking a thin line and ready to snap and my stress hasn't gone above 43.  Yeah, right.

  • I'm starting to think I shouldn't pay my stress and body battery too much attention.

My body battery chart looks like a cycle of around 3 days - it stays around 5 for a whole day then over about 24 hours hits 95 to 100 then falls back to 5 again over 48 hours.  It doesn't tie up with how I feel when I wake or when I exercise.  This is over the past month since I've had the watch.

I've tried resting when my body battery is low but it has no effect. My stress level stays high until the cycle kicks in and my body battery recovers whether I rest or exercise seems to make no difference.
