steps missing in average

It's now 2136 hrs. My watch says 8942 steps today, my android phone says steps today is 8942, but when opening the last 7 days, it shows only 249 steps for today. Seems the phaone app is screwing up. Any thoughts to resolve? Thanks.

Sync the app, so that the data transfers to the server.

Thanks. It seemed stuck after a charge (that did'nt charge and ran to zero). So I recharged and ended up uninstalling the app and rebooting. Reinstalled, resync and that solved it. But then guess what, today I'm walking along with about 20 minutes into the walk (about 3k steps or so), and I look at my watch and it say 14k steps. Musta added in yesterday is all I can figure. This is screwy. (rev11 firmware).
