LED test request

Hi All,

I would like to ask your help if you have a minute or so and are willing to go to the test mode of the watch

I have a replacement watch which seems to have much weaker HR lights than the previous ones (yes, I am unlucky in so many levels) and sometimes it's not even flashing only a continuous dim light is visible when I pull up the watch from my wrist a little.

So I went to the test mode and got these OHR test results:

ILP Results: S2 Exceed Limits
LED Results: S2 Below Limits

I do not know if that is normal or not, so if you can do a little test for me and confirm your values I would appreciate it.

Here is the method to do the test:

1. Turn off the watch (sync it before turning it off just in case not to loose any metrics)
2. Press the Down button and turn on the watch by the Light button. Only release the Down button when the test mode is loaded.
3. Press the Back button until you navigate to the OHR test page.
4. Press the Up button for the ILP test and the Down for the LED test. Both takes a couple of seconds, so wait until the test done message appears for both.
5. To go back to normal mode, long press the Light button until the watch turns off and turn it on as usual.
6. Share the results

Without knowing what the results mean asking people to post their results is meaningless.

What limits are below or being exceeded - Upper limits? Lower limits?

ILP & LED - What do these mean?

Why are you only asking for S2 results? What about the S1 results?

Anyhoo, my F6 works perfectly and I have no problems with OHR readings.

The test results are the same as the OP's.

Well if most people get the same readout its safe to assume it a normal value.

Does the watch work? Have you a problem? If so what is the issue? Maybe you need to have a chat with Garmin Support.

Thank you for the confirmation.

I just wanted to confirm that the sensor is not defected as the previous items have much stronger lights and I needed some comparison values before I get back to Garmin Support.

@philipshambrook This is my issue and the reason why I am worried about accepting this replacement:

The HR went down as low as 34bpm during the walk which is not possible, probably not just in my case. I already let Garmin Support know about it, but the response I got is only a link to how to wear the watch and that I should not worry because it happened only one time. I wrote them too that based on their category on the linked page I have 'Type I' skin tone, no tattoo, no hair in my arms, I wear the watch with the original silicon band according to the recommendation that is, when I move the watch my skin moves with it too and I can slightly lift it to see the lights. And I clean the sensor before starting activities. I have never experienced such behavior with the previous items.

All my other questions about if there is any chance to fix it on my side were ignored. This is the reason I wanted to collect more information if it's a sensor problem or something else.

Do you know someone with this watch so you can compare the lights to a third device. It's possible the LED's on your replacement watch are performing normally and the replaced watch was out of whack.

Unfortunately, I don't. As I mentioned, this is not the first replacement, due to different issues, it's actually the 5th and none of the previous ones behaved like this.
