Hi all, one question: can it be that the fenix 5x only has very limited storage capacity in "Courses" for tracks, i added two new Courses twice, and then always one was gone again (the watch itself has quite some spare capacity). Further, for a month or so now, i can no longer add gpx data in new files, but i directly have to add "fit" data in Courses for new tracks, which is fine, i can convert the gpx via gpsies, but still - do i do something wrong here? kr, alex
No it's probably not due to that your storage memory is full. The fit files you create need to be unique in more ways than file name. I think also it up to how you create your fit files. ​​​First. My finding is that 5x only can handle 15 char in Course name. First 15 char in Course name need to be unique. Second. I think also that something else need to be unique. I change start time or product serial no to something unique in Fit File RepairTool before I save to fit.
But creating courses is a 2 step process. First you have to create/import the course to Garmin Connect, then you have to send the course to the device.
I have the same problem. Limited number of courses is 100. Limited number of points uploaded is 100 000. I have about 30 000 points and can upload only 20 tracks. This is till SW 5.10. Why??? All 15 charcters are unique. FIT files are created in basecamp and process as create tracks.
