Optimal configuration for 5x with Stryd and HRM-4

So I have been using a Fenix 3 for a while and have upgraded to the 5X. I have also bought a Stryd Foot pod to replace the Garmin foot pod. I read on here http://fellrnr.com/wiki/Garmin_Fenix_5X how to best setup the foot pod but I have a few questions:
  • The foot pod also registered a power sensor as well as the foot pod. Should I ignore it, delete it, or use it in some way?
  • I run with a HRM-4 with all the run dynamics. The foot pod also provides the run dynamics which has precedence? Should I do anything here? I also have a rhythm+ that I use in the gym because the chest strap gives me a rash. It is a better combination, 5X, Stryd and Rhythm+?
  • Which app is the best to use? There seem to be 3 options. Run with data field, Stryd IQ and Stryd Race. I am tending towards the OEM Run app with the data field but which is best?
  • I am assuming the foot pod connected via ANT+ but is it possible to check?
  • Any other tip and hints for this combination?

    Hi!

1.) Leave it as it is. Footpod connects automatically and Power shortly after. Note down the "ID" of the Footpod. Configure the Stryd data filed and enter the ID into the calibration.

2.) If you allow the data field to record additional data both are visible in Garmin Connect. (https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/1860991755)
I use the HRMrun2 for all my runs. Works perfectly together. If you want to check the Stryd dynamics go to Stryd PowerCenter. (https://www.stryd.com/powercenter/run/5644482315812864)

3.) I use the data filed for usual training but have the race app installed as well. App is perfect if you are running by power only. Currently I don't do that.

4.) ANT+ is the way it connects.

5.) Change the setting for the Stryd to: Pace and Distance: Always
    Autocalibration: off
    Factor: 100
This gives you perfect values without the need for calibrating the Stryd.

    Any questions? Please ask.
