Powertap C1 cadence & balance data missing

I've done a couple rides with my fenix 5 and am having an issue with data from a Powertap C1, their chainring based power meter. Specifically, the cadence reads 0 and I'm not getting power balance. Actually, switching to the power zone and cadence screen would occasionally make the watch read an extremely high cadence for a split second before going back to zero. i.e. I think it was 65343 once.... Trust me, I'm not that good.

I also have a 520, which works perfectly with the Powertap C1, I've provided links to the data from both the 520 and fenix 5 for tonight's ride. Further, the fenix 5 replaces a 920xt, I never noticed cadence issues it and the C1.

Has anyone else experienced this? Know a fix?

520 - https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/1673871864

for those of you paying close attention to those links, you'll notice the calorie count is WAY off on the fenix data as well. I've submitted another forum post about that. I can't imagine how this is related, but of course I could be proven wrong.

    BT.....

    Figured it out..... #sigh

    1) I didn't realize my powertap C1 was both ANT+ and BT
    2) didn't realize the watch had connected to the power meter over BT
    3) powertap C1 and fenix 5 don't play well over BT.

I removed the power meter from the fenix and went to pair again. It paired twice, once as BT and once as ANT+ I removed the BT sensor from the list (sensor -> about shows it as BT or ANT+) and now the cadence and balance data is working as expected.

I wish there was a way to turn off BTLE sensor pairing in the watch, or pick which you want to search for, but thus far I haven't found it.

leaving this thread here for anyone running into this in the future.
